Arkhangelsk. Instituted on October 2, 1781. Description: "In a golden shield a flying archangel, which is armed with the fiery sword and shield, defeats the falling devil".

Velsk. Instituted on October 20, 1760. Description: "In the first part - the Vologda blazon. In the second part - in a golden field the barrel filled by tar, as a token, that inhabitants of this city trade it".

Kargopol (old blazon). Instituted on August 16, 1781. Description: "In a light-blue field a ram of the natural colour, roasting on firewood".

Krasnoborsk. Instituted on October 2, 1781. Description: "In the first part of a shield - the Penza blazon. In the second part - two red pines in a silver field".

Mezen. Instituted on October 2, 1781. Description: "In a 1-st part of a shield - the Vologda blazon. In a 2-nd part a red fox in a silver field, meaning that the inhabitants of this city trade these animals".

Onega. Instituted on October 2, 1781. Description: "In the first part of a shield - the Vologda blazon; in the second part a fish called a salmon, in a light-blue field, as a token, that near this city the best sorts of these fishes are caught and are traded".

Pinega. Instituted on October 2, 1781. Description: "In the first part of a shield - the Vologda blazon; in the second part - two hazel-grouses in a golden field, meaning that near this city there is a best sort of this gamebirds".

Solvychegodsk. Instituted on October 2, 1781. Description: "In the first part of a shield - the Vologda blazon. In the second part, two pieces of salt in a red field".

Kholmogory. Instituted on August 16, 1781. Description: "In a 1-st part of a shield - the Vologda blazon. In a 2-nd part - a quadrant in a light-blue field, as a token, that on March 12, 1781, by Royal ukase the seafaring school was established in this city".

Shenkursk. Instituted on October 2, 1781. Description: "In the first part of a shield - the Vologda blazon. In the second part - animal, called badger, in a green field, meaning that there are many these animals near this city".

Yarensk. Instituted on October 2, 1781. Description: "In the first part of a shield - the Vologda blazon. In the second part, two squirrels of natural colour in a silver field, meaning that the city inhabitants trade in the skins of these animals".
