was instituted on May 25, 2000. Description: "The arms of territory represents a French shield,
which basis is equal the 8/9 of height. The bottom corners of the shield are round. The shield
is divided by a horizontal strip into two equal parts; in the top half of shield on azure
background, symbolizing greatness, the blast-furnace of 18th century is represented - as a
reflection of historical past of Altai Territory. In the bottom part of the shield on a red
background, symbolizing dignity, bravery and courage, the image of Kolyvan's "Queen of Vases"
is placed (jasper with prevalence of green colour, this vase is kept in the Hermitage). The
shield is decorated with wreath of gold ears, symbolizing the agriculture as main branch of
economy of Altai Territory. The wreath is interweaved by azure tape".

two parts; in the upper smaller part, in a green field, the Tomsk blazon. In the lower
larger part, in a light-blue field, a fuming blast-furnace among mining rocks".
Biysk. Instituted on March 12, 1804. Description: "Shield, devided horizontally
on two parts; in the upper part - the Tomsk blazon. In the lower part, in a light-blue field,
a mine in a silver mountain".
