Coat of arms of Chuvashia Republic was instituted on April 29, 1992. It contains two emblems: "Tree of Life" (symbol of Renascence) and "Three suns".

Cheboksary (old blazon). Instituted on October 18, 1781. Description: "In the upper part of the shield the Kazan arms are placed. In the lower part - five flying wild ducks in golden field, as a symbol of such birds plenty near this town".

The author of Shumerlya blazon is the artist V.G. Gorbunov.

Tsivilsk

Tsivilsk (old blazon). Instituted on October 18, 1781. Description: "In the upper part of the shield the Kazan arms are placed. In the lower part - a big old stumpy oak, as a sympol of such tree plenty in this place".

Tsivilsk

Tsivilsk (new blazon). Instituted on April 28, 1989.

The author of new Tsivilsk blazon is Eugene Ivanovich Sobolev.

Yadrin (Yadrinsk)

Yadrin (Yadrinsk) (old blazon). Instituted on October 18, 1781. Description: "In the upper part of the shield the Kazan arms are placed: a black snake under golden crown, red wings, white field. In the lower part - three-cornered pyramid of cast-iron cannon-balls in red field, as a symbol of the town's name".

"Yadro" means "cannon-ball" in Russian.

Yadrin (Yadrinsk) Yadrin (Yadrinsk) (new blazon). Instituted on June 28, 1989.

The author of new blazon is V.I. Razumov.
